Fare calculation
- Notice：
- This system trials the fare with the shortest distance. The actual fare should be based on the actual running mileage of the train. Group ticket fare is not applicable
- If the mileage exceeds 50 kilometers, the e-ticket discount will not be available (Valid from the travel date: June 23, 2025.).
- The current minimum mileage for each train type is 10 km. Those who are less than 10 km are quoted at 10 km.
- The minimum mileage for business seats is 50 km, and the ticketing system will not sell business seats under 50 km.
- If the route and travel direction are not selected, the shortest distance will be used for calculation.
- ＊If there is a transfer between main and branch lines, the carbon emissions are calculated based only on the main segment.
- ＊For the same distance, the carbon emissions of the Tze-Chiang Limited Express are 30.4% of those of a private car. The Chu-Kuang Express emits 43.47% of the carbon produced by a private car, while the Local Train emits 47.8% compared to a private car.

Calculation Principle of Electronic Fare(Valid from the travel date: June 23, 2025.)
The calculation method of the electronic ticket fare is the same as the calculation method of the current travel ticket of the Administration, and is calculated according to the fare calculation method corresponding to the train type. Adults (full ticket) are fully charged at the following fares; child, elder people and disable tickets are based on half price of the following fares:
- Passengers taking Chu-Kuang Express and Local Train: the fare of the Local Train at the starting and destination stations.

Passengers taking Tze-Chiang Limited Express:
- within 50 km (included), according to the fare of the Local Train at the starting and destination stations.

more than 50 kilometers, the fare is divided into the following two sections and then added to the total price:
- Section 1: The first 50 km is calculated as the local train fare.
- Section 2: Exceeding the 50 km portion, the excess mileage is calculated at the rate of Tze-Chiang Limited Express (2.98 yuan per km).

Determination of 50 km (included) of Tze-Chiang Limited Express:
It does not mean that 50 km is calculated from boarding Tze-Chiang Limited Express. Instead, if the trips and transfers of the express trains at all levels are within 50 km, passengers are charged the Local Train fare. If the total mileage of passengers taking the Tze-Chiang Limited Express at the destination station exceeds 70 km (including all transfers), the difference between Tze-Chiang Limited Express and Local Train will be added for the excess mileage. There is no additional charge for trains below Chu-Kuang Express (included).
